About

My passion for antiques and personal histories is life-long. With a close relationship to my grandparents, I was steeped in  family photos, songs, and stories of their childhoods and working lives as farmers in the midwest.  At an early age, I valued the wisdom and gifts of my grandparents, which in turn led me into researching and documenting our family history, and ultimately into working with other families to preserve their memories and histories, while working through their life transitions.  Many of my deepest and earliest memories hinge on my grandparent’s love and home. Personal artifacts will always hold my childhood history--like my grandpa’s guitar, his chair, grandma’s collection of perfume bottles and jewelry, her cookbooks ….

I am passionate about research, preserving history, listening to the stories behind objects, and finding new owners who can value and add to the stories and histories of the items I sell.

Many parts of my life have come together to shape the services and care I offer today. I served as a Patient Care Coordinator at Hospice of Santa Cruz and later as an Office Manager for Certified Homebirth Midwives, experiences that grounded me in supporting individuals and families through profound life transitions.

I went on to manage international study programs and psychology-based leadership trainings through UCSC Extension and various nonprofit organizations, deepening my understanding of people, process, and communication.

For over 11 years, I worked as a personal organizer and assistant, helping families navigate periods of transition, crisis, and loss. This often included inventorying estates, facilitating the sale of meaningful belongings, and thoughtfully rehoming items. Through this work, I collaborated directly with crisis management teams, victim advocates, law enforcement, and legal, estate, and financial professionals.

Alongside this work, I sold at antique markets ranging from Petaluma, CA to a high-end show in Santa Barbara, CA—eventually leading to the opening of my brick-and-mortar space, Tumbleweed Found, on January 17, 2024.
